The sign for the Northgate Movies 10 movie theater in the Northgate Plaza in north Carson City. From 1980 to 2007 this was the main movie theater in town. This was taken a couple of months after the Galaxy Theaters in the south of town had opened, and this movie theater was being converted to a second-run discount theater in response. Also advertised on the sign are Geno's Pizza, the Beauty Academy, and Sierra Family Health Centers. In the background is the Harley Davidson dealership, in the old Warehouse Market building. A For Lease sign is on the building; Harley Davidson moved to Research Way. Harbor Freight later moved into this building.
