The Northgate Movies 10 movie theater in the Northgate Plaza in north Carson City in 2007. From 1980 to 2007 this was the main movie theater in town. In the summer of 2007 the Galaxy Theaters in the south of town had opened, and this movie theater was converted to a second-run discount theater in response. It was opened and closed sporadically over the next decade and a half, renamed to the Carson Stadium Cinemas, until it closed in October 2022, possibly for good.
