This is Virginia and Truckee Railroad engine #12, The Genoa, crossing a bridge V&T Coach #16. This was taken during an excursion trip in California, on the Stockton Terminal & Eastern Railroad. Engine #12 and Car #16 are both on display together today at the California State Railroad Museum, still paired up exactly like they are in this photo.

The photograph was taken on October 31, 1955 on the Stockton Terminal & Eastern. - Stephen Drew, Retired Chief Curator, California State Railroad Museum.
