The view of downtown Carson City seems focused mainly on the wonderful sign on the south side of the Marjorie May Restaurant-Confectionery. But there's plenty more to see here. On the far left is the Arlington Hotel, and beyond that the U.S. Mint at Robinson. But look at all the signs in the center of the photo, on the block between Spear and Robinson. Fountain Restaurant, Larry Moore's Coffee Shop, Frigidaire, Standard Oil, Old Corner Bar, Coca Cola, Chism Ice Cream, and way in the distance the Carson Theater, on the other side of Robinson. A few people seem to be headed into Larry's Moore's for lunch.
This whole block has been wiped out for the monolithic Carson Nugget in recent years.
