The Civic Auditorium in Carson City is a fantastic building constructed to be used for theater performances and public meetings. It was built just one block north of the train station, and backed up to the V&T enginehouse and yards. It fell vacant in the 1980s, but was added to the National Register of Historical Places in 1990. Soon after that the building was rehabbed and occupied by the Children’s Museum of Northern Nevada.
