The Central Pacific Railroad at Donner Summit. The railroad was inside snowsheds at the summit so the trains could keep passing by in the winter without getting stuck in snow. The Donner Lake And Dutch Flat Wagon Road also crossed the tracks here. You can see an opening in the wooden snowshed where the wagons would pass through as they crossed the tracks.
