Description

President Theodore Roosevelt visited Carson City on May 19, 1903. Here you see the Gray Reid Wright Building and the Arlington Hotel, in the 500 block of Carson Street, decked out in full bunting for the President's visit. The Gray Reid Wright Building is so covered, in fact, you can't even see any of the brick facade. The Arlington Hotel next door is decorated a little more modestly.

A large crowd of ladies have assembled along the sidewalk to wait for the President's arrival, and several men are milling around in the dusty street.
