Description

A view of B Street in Virginia City. On the left is the Marye Building. Stockbroker George Marye built this building in Virginia City in the 1870s. It was one of the largest and most expensive buildings on the Comstock at the time it was built. The building burned in 1951. The post office parking lot is here now. The smaller building on the left is the back side of the Old Washoe Club; that is still standing.
