Description

The Merci Boxcar at the Nevada State Railroad Museum. This boxcar was a thank you gift from the people of France to every state in the Union after the end of World War II. Nevada's boxcar arrived in 1949. In 2002 it was sitting on a short piece of track, weathered by the sun. Later in the decade it was restored and repainted.
