Description

The Senator Cafe was located at the northeast corner of Carson and Musser Streets, right across the street from the State Capitol. It was a downtown fixture for decades and appears in many mid-century photos and postcards.

The front part of the cafe held a casino, but in this photo you can see the "Family Entrance" in the back so you could stop by and get some food without having to drag grandma and the kids through a bingo parlor.

At the far right edge of the photo you can see the gas pumps that sat out in front of the Senator Cafe.
