Description

This view from 1966 looks at the stretch of E Street in Virginia City where the Virginia & Truckee Railroad had their depot. The passenger depot stood in the empty land in the middle of the photo. In the distance the freight depot still stands. E Street, seen to the right, was where the tracks ran. Later V&T Engine #27 was put on display on this land, and later still the Comstock History Museum was built here.
