An aerial view of El Rancho Drive-In in Sparks. The drive-in opened in August of 1950. Beyond the theater is the flooded gravel pit that would later become Teglia’s Paradise Park.

Source Caption: Tony Pecetti opened the El Rancho Drive-In on property between Reno and Sparks in August 1950. The first movie shown was, "My Foolish Heart". An advertisement in the Reno Gazette Journal on August 19, 1950 proclaimed: "the most modern drive-in theater in Nevada, Largest Screen, Perfect Vision, newest RCA Projection, Latest RCA in-the-car speakers."
