St. Mary's Hospital

St. Mary's Hospital, on R Street in Virginia City, was located was downhill from downtown. it was built in 1876 and operates as an art center today.

Because there were so many mining accidents back in the day, Virginia City was in desperate need of a hospital, which is why it opened in 1875 and served its community for decades. Now, St. Mary's is part community center and part art gallery. Stay tuned for its reopening and hours of operation.
