The Nevada State Building in downtown Reno. This building was located at the corner of Virginia and State Streets. Built in 1926, this building housed the Nevada Historical Society, Nevada National Guard, Washoe County Library, and an auditorium. As well as being a popular gathering place and social hub for Reno. In front of the building was Powning Park. In 1966 it was demolished to make way for the Pioneer Center for the Performing Arts.
