Description

A look at the saloons of Hazen, from 1905. Establishments include the Shamrock Saloon, Joe Dempsey's Place, the Hazen Chop House, Mike Hollarn's Place, and Everybody's Saloon.

Hazen was a railroad town located northwest of Fallon. This was the transfer point between the Southern Pacific's Transcontinental Railroad, and the Nevada & California Railway, which in 1905 was hauling large amounts of gold and silver out of Tonopah and Goldfield.
