The small town of Wabuska, in the Mason Valley north of Yerington, was a stop on the Carson and Colorado Railroad. After the Southern Pacific took over the railroad the depot there stayed in use for a while, but by the 1980s it was abandoned. In the late 80s it was moved to the Nevada State Railroad Museum where it was restored and now serves as the passenger depot for their steam train rides.
