Description

Along Hwy 395, just outside Carson City. This view is north, as the highway turns to enter the city limits. On the left is the base of C Hill. The ranch on the right marks the location of present-day Fairview Street. Carson City at this time only extends as far south as 10th Street. The Capitol is the only building that sticks above the tree line.
