Description

This view from the Capitol Dome, looking east, shows the smaller dome of the Capitol Annex in the foreground. In the background Eagle Valley and Carson City can be seen. Much of the construction that has happened in the last 50 years has not yet happened in this photo, and the valley looks empty compared to what we're used to.

This photograph was more likely taken in the mid 1960's. The cars in the lot are 60's model designs and the vacant lot to the left of the dome, on the corner of Stewart and King and woodframe houses on it until they were torn down in the early 1960's. I know because I lived in the one at 406 E. King until October of 1961.
