Description

This photo shows the Douglass Mill in Dayton, around 1896. By this time the mill was closed. You can see that many of the windows are broken and the mill has been vandalized. Running from left to right, next to the people, are the tracks of the Dayton, Sutro & Carson Valley Railroad that was used to haul ore to the mill.
