Description

The First Presbyterian Church in Carson City is seen here in the early 20th century photo. It seems to be a winter shot, since all the leaves are off the trees. This church was completed in 1864 through the fundraising efforts of Samuel Clemens, better known as Mark Twain, and since this photo has been expanded several times. The house next door has been razed and is now a front lawn for the church.
