Description
This is the Nevada State Prison on the east end of Carson City, on Fifth Street. The stone entrance gate to the prison is seen at the right, with the buildings of the prison in the background. Fifth Street continues past the prison by curving to the left around it.
On the left of the photo you can see the fences and cottonwoods of the Lompa family ranch.
