Reno Gazeete Journal

Description

The Sparks Mansion being moved from Reno to Pleasant Valley in December 1978. When this mansion was located at the corner of Virginia and Peckham Streets in Reno, it was the home of Governor John Sparks, who became governor in 1903. By the 1970s, the mansion was abandoned and derelict. It was in danger of being torn down, but it was purchased and moved to a new site in Pleasant Valley, along Hwy 395 south of Reno. Here the house is passing by Steamboat as a traffic jam follows behind.
