This is a Carleton Watkins view of B Street in Virginia City. On the left is the James G Fair Mansion at 69 South B Street in Virginia City. James Fair was one of the Silver Kings on the Comstock in the 1870s, and was elected Senator in 1881. The house was demolished around the turn of the century. Further down the street is the Marye Building, which burned in 1951. This is one piece of a stereo pair.
