Description

This drawing shows the act of naming of Virginia City. According to popular myth, James "Old Virginny" Finney, one of the early Virginia City miners, stumbled home full of drunk one night and broke his bottle on the rocks. He poured out the remaining bit and proclaimed "I baptize this place Virginia Town." Apocryphal or not, this moment has been codified as the founding of Virginia City.

This was probably drawn decades later, so I doubt it's very authentic.
