Virginia & Truckee locomotive #21, "J. W. Bowker", was sold to the Sierra Nevada Wood & Lumber Company in 1896. Here it is plowing snow at Hobart Mills, near Truckee. It was renumbered #3 for this service. The engine is now at the California State Railroad Museum in Sacramento.
