Description

Virginia & Truckee Locomotive #18 "Dayton" was used in motion pictures after its time on the V&T. In 1969 the locomotive was used to portray Union Pacific #119 at the Golden Spike National Historic Site, for the centennial of the completion of the Transcontinental Railroad. It stayed there for much of the 1970s until a new replica was built to replace it, and then Dayton was moved to the Nevada State Railroad Museum.
