Neon sign collector Will Durham will take the sign into storage for his future neon museum. The city of Reno included sign disassembly in the bid for demolition of the Golden West Motor Lodge and Heart o' Town Motel. Tessera District owners then donated the sign to Durham. The sign came down Aug. 15, 2016. Durham said the motels will be demolished after Labor Day.
