This postcard shows the Carson Nugget during the day. Its companion night shot can be found here. Back then the Nugget was contained to one city block, instead of taking over Spear Street like it does now. The prospector sign, as well as the neon spire reaching to the sky, were prominent landmarks in downtown. The dark mass in the background is the Rosser Building, which housed the Eagles Lodge.
