This is the "Sunny Acres" Nevada State Children's Home on Fifth Street, just east of Stewart. It was built in 1903 to replace the previous orphanage, which had burned down the year before. This was the orphanage in the 1950s, after a remodel that included demolishing the cupola. Read more.
