This building in southern Carson City was built to house Dug's Windjammer, a nautical-themed hotel/casino. It was built by Dug Picking who owned Dug's West Indies at the north end of town. The casino never opened, and the building, also named the "Landmark Building" and the "South Annex", later housed the Nevada Commission on Tourism. It was purchased by the Nevada Department of Transportation because it was in the path of the Carson City Freeway project, and NDoT used it as office space for a while. In 2012 the building was demolished, and now the northbound onramp to the I-580 Freeway goes right through this spot.
