A sign for Riverwood Shopping Center, which was supposed to be built at the southeast corner of Hwy 395 and Topsy Lane outside Carson City. It had the unfortunate timing of construction starting right at the beginning of the 2008 downturn. The land was cleared for the center, but no construction ever took place.
Potential tenants are shown on the sign, including Kohls, which later opened elsewhere in Carson City, Circuit City electronics store, which declared bankruptcy and went out of business, and Max Baer Jr's Jethro's Casino, which kept running into obstacles and was never built.
