Tahoe Sky Harbor Airport

The Sky Harbor Airport was located at Lake Tahoe, in Rabe Meadow near the intersection of Hwy 50 and Kahle Drive. It operated from 1946 until the early 1950s. It was a dangerous airport, and it was closed after suffering a high number of crashes in its short life. The land that was the runway is now the residential areas alone Kahle Drive.

In the background is the Tahoe Village Resort across Hwy 50.
