Merrill’s Inn

Merrill’s Inn was a stage stop along the Dutch Flat Toll Road between Reno and Sacramento. It was right on the Truckee River outside of what today is Verdi. It later became a stop on the Lincoln Highway until that road was rerouted through the Truckee River Canyon. The last buildings on the site were torn down in 1994.
