The Sparks Mansion was the home of Governor John Sparks. It was located on Virginia Street close to Peckham Lane. It was also known as the Alamo Ranch. Governor Sparks died in 1908. The ranch was sold and renamed the Moffat Ranch. The house here is seen in the 1940s or 50s. In 1978 the house was moved to Pleasant Valley, along Hwy 395 south of Reno. This is now the site of parking for the Atlantis Casino.
