O'Neil Station

O'Neil Station in Verdi, near the intersection of Dog Valley Road and Bridge Street. This was a stage stop along the original Emigrant Trail over the Sierra, the last stop before entering California. Later it was a guest ranch servicing the divorce trade. In the early 1980s it was the Donner Trail Dinner House. The outbuildings were torn down in 1991 and the main ranch house was torn down in 1994.
