For a couple of decades, Carson City had a historic walking tour on the west side of town that was marked by a blue painted line on the sidewalk. It was part of the Kit Carson Trail, but everyone just called it the Blue Line Trail. Around 2019 it was removed as a cost-saving measure due to the expense of maintaining the painted line.
