Looking north on Carson Street from Washington. On the left you see the sign for Safeway, which was on the corner of Washington and Carson. Next is the Associated Gas Station, selling Flying A gas. Next to that is the sign for the Clark Bros Grocery. Across the street you can see the Richfield gas station, then the Dairy Kone. next to that is the Carson City Bowl bowling alley, and then very prominent is Dick's Saloon. Their sign advertises Lucky Lager on draft. Most of the buildings in the picture have been demolished.
