Sutro Mansion

Daun Bohall Collection

Adolf Sutro's mansion in the Dayton Valley. This house stood right next to the mouth of the Sutro Tunnel, and was meant to be the centerpiece of the booming town of Sutro. The town never materialized, leaving this house alone in the desert until it burned in 1941.
