An aerial view of Minden from 1940. At this time the town was still very small, and the whole town fits within this photo. Downtown is at the bottom center of the photo, the residential neighborhoods are in the upper half, and the industrial area, clustered around the railroad tracks, is on the right. The town is surrounded on all sides by pasture.
