This photo of Piper's Opera House was taken by James Farrar in the autumn of 1941, He was in town to get married, and snapped this photo from in front of the Storey County Courthouse.
James passed away in 1982. His son Max scanned these photos, which were taken on Dufaycolor film, one of the early color film stocks for amateur photographers.
