Description

Looking west from the Reno railroad depot in 1876. The tracks passing through downtown belonged to the Central Pacific Transcontinental Railroad (which later became the Southern Pacific). The spur heading off to the lower left connected to the Virginia & Truckee Railroad. Reno was the northern terminus of the V&T. The buildings on the left were located along Commercial Row.
