Description

An interior sitting room of the Stewart-Nye House at 108 N. Minnesota Street. Built in the 1860s, it is possibly the oldest house in Carson City. It was the home of William Morris Stewart and James W. Nye, Nevada's first two senators. It was later the rectory for St. Teresa's Church across the street, which it was when this photo was taken in 1972. In the early 2000s it became a law office.
