Description

This was the washhouse on the Joseph Ferretto - Peter Dalton Ranch, which was located at 9095 South Virginia Street in Reno. The ranch was first built in the 1860s. It was the Peter Dalton Ranch from 1870 to 1910, and the Joseph Ferretto Ranch from 1912 to the 1990s. The ranch was very remote when built, but during the 20th century the city of Reno expanded until it surrounded the ranch. The ranch was torn down in the 1990s, and 5 of these outbuildings were moved to Boomtown Casino. Those same outbuildings were later moved to Bartley Ranch Regional Park in Reno in 2004. A La-Z-Boy Furniture store is now on this site.
