Source Caption: Reno inset from the 1972 Exxon California/Nevada road map (cartography by General Drafting Company). Shows I-80 still under construction through town and U.S. 40 (4th Street) still functioning as the crosstown route to approximately the western boundary of Sparks. Note the "Alternate 40" route which uses 2nd Street and Kietzke Lane.
