Description

A line of cars fills up the angle-in parking along the east side of Carson Street in front of the Sweetland block. A lady walks along the sidewalk, head down, oblivious to the photographer. Wide awnings provide shade from the sun.

Across the street, at the right, the Silver Spur casino can be seen at the corner of Carson and Proctor. They advertise "Good Food" and "House of Action". Across the street to the left is the Eagle Market, and next to that is Carson Liquor. Further down you can see the sign for Kitzmeyer's Drug Store, and the Standard Stations sign on top of Geo. H. Meyers hardware store at the corner of Carson and Musser.

In the distance is the portico front of the Heroes Memorial Building across the street from the Capitol.
