Description

In 1972-73 the Carson Nugget's garish yellow and red facade was renovated during an expansion. This grainy photo, taken at the beginning of the work, shows the Carson Street part of the facade, before dismantling began. The tall sign above the casino rotated. At the left Abe Curry's eagle statue is seen on the roof of the Rosser Building.
