A Virginia & Truckee excursion train stops at Lakeview, on the hill above Carson City, to let the passengers stretch their legs. The train is pulled by locomotives #11 "Reno" and #27.

Source Caption: It is always nice to come across a nice color shot of the Virginia & Truckee Railroad back in the day. We forget just how colorful the V&T engines and trains were against the desert background.Here V&T#11 and #27 have stopped their excursion train at Lakeview to let the passengers get out and get some photos.
