Description

The Ginsburg Clock was installed in front of Ginsburg Jewelry at 133 North Virginia Street in 1935. It was manufactured by the E. Howard Company of Boston. It sat in front of the jewelry store until Park Lane Mall opened in the late 1960s, at which time the clock was moved to the mall. The jewelry store closed in 1971.

When Park Lane Mall closed in 2007, the clock was donated to the City of Reno. It was put into storage until a place could be found to display it. The clock was sent to Massachusetts to be restored, and then installed at Reno's Believe Plaza (corner of First and Virginia) in June of 2013. Here it is being lifted onto its column.
