A Virginia and Truckee construction train on top of Lakeview Summit. Coach #8, pictured here, was one of the first coaches built for the railroad in 1869.

Behind the cars are the Lakeview Section foreman's house to the left and the section bunkhouse to the right. The caboose-coach was built in the VC car shops in 1869.
