Construction at the Carson Nugget in the late 1960s. This was the first step in covering the building with a giant lighted facade and hiding the old wood panel facade. To the right is the old Post Office, currently known as the Paul Laxalt Building. The V&T Caboose #24 is parked out front. The Kitzmeyer Furniture Factory can also be seen on the right. In the foreground is the empty lot that had recently held the Arlington Hotel.
